AzOSA News and Events

ANNOUNCEMENTS

  1. UKRAINIAN TRIP POSTING:   Joseph Kezele, AzOSA President, will be posting a video from the Ukrainian mission trip on Facebook
  2. NEW SIGNS:  Anonymous donors covered the cost of new portable signs to be placed outside of AzOSA venues. These colorful, sharp looking signs with the AzOSA logo will make it easier for attendees to find us, especially on larger campuses.
  3. TWITTER, SNAPCHAT & INSTAGRAM :  We continue to seek more young people to set up and manage accounts for these popular means of communication.  Please contact Larry Kisner, the AzOSA Secretary, at kisnerls@gmail.com to volunteer.
  4. FALLOUT:  This is a DVD by CMI which should be promoted by every person who attends church and is interested in our children attending church.  It is produced by CMI – please notify your pastors and friends.  Go to Creation Ministries International on the web.  AzOSA stands by ready to provide speakers – please contact us.
  5. GEOLOGIC CREATION RESEARCH OPPORTUNITY:   RARE OPPORTUNITY!  Want to spend a day exploring God's creation, learning about geology, and participating in creationist research?   Join us for a series of field trips in Southeastern Arizona to sample a variety granitic stocks for use in a radiohalo survey.   The trips will be a full day each, held on Saturdays, and will involve off-highway travel and some hiking – to be led by Creation Research Society and AzOSA geologists. All skill levels welcome. The first trip will be to the Santa Rita and Sierrita mountains south of Tucson.  Please contact Larry Kisner at 480-332-7152, or < biblicalphysics@gmail.com > to sign-up for the trip(s).
  6. BOOKMASTER STILL NEEDED FOR EAST VALLEY:  We still need a new Book Master for the East Valley – Arnie Coleman has volunteered for the summer, but we would appreciate someone stepping forward for when he must leave. Generally this person would keep track of the books, DVD’s, etc. in the East Valley inventory and when possible help sell them at the presentations.  This is not a difficult job, mainly keeping track of the items to sell and ordering more when stock is low.  For details you can communicate with Jordan Renouard (505-463-1378) or Vern Hartz (520-626-3357 or 520-721-8278).
  7. VICE-PRESIDENT NEEDED FOR COCHISE DIVISION:  Otto Richter has resigned as VP of Cochise Division, after serving faithfully for several years. Please contact Joseph Kezele at 480-540-8953 or email at jmkezele@azosa.org  if you would like to find out more about what is involved.
  8. IS GENESIS HISTORY? Follow-on:  Del Tackett and the director discuss the film.  These are the things they discussed.  Genesis and our view of God; Is the film a false dichotomy?; The problem with old earth creation; Geology and Pastors; Theistic evolution, History, & Death.  The Student Educators Conference is in Nashville, TN on June 19 – 23 = FREE for STUDENTS!  UNDERSTANDING THE WORLD IN THE LIGHT OF GENESIS.
