 ANNOUNCEMENTS

DEEP FAITH:  A Students’ Apologetics Conference is being presented by James Umber and 3 other speakers.  They will be presenting the evidence against evolution at an upcoming student conference (it's available to college students) and James plans to recommend AzOSA to the students.  Three churches are scheduled to host, as follow:  Sept. 15th at Desert Springs Bible Church in Phoenix – 6:30 to 9:30 PM; Sept. 16th at Compass Church in Goodyear – 6:30 to 9:30 PM; Sept. 17th at Cornerstone Church in Chandler – 6:30 to 9:30 PM.   Please see the attached fliers.  College students are invited and adults are welcome to come to the conference as long as they bring at least one student.

FALL BOARD MEETING:  The meeting will be held in Phoenix on October 1st, at 12 Noon, 2121 East Magnolia Street in the Norman S. Wright Building.  There will be no telecommunication for this meeting – all participants will be present – anyone may attend.  You may order a Subway Sandwich through Larry or bring your own lunch.  See you there!

WELCOME PEGGY:  If you have not already, please give Peggy Matney a great big WELCOME and THANK YOU for accepting the job of Treasurer.  Peggy has been a member of AzOSA for about 6 years.  She is self-employed and has owned her bookkeeping service for approximately 25 years – serving the Valley’s small and medium size businesses.  We look forward to meeting her at the Board meeting.

GEOLOGIC CREATION RESEARCH OPPORTUNITY:   RARE OPPORTUNITY!  Want to spend a day exploring God's creation, learning about geology, and participating in creationist research?   Join us for a series of field trips in Southeastern Arizona to sample a variety granitic stocks for use in a radiohalo survey.   The trips will be a full day each, held on Saturdays, and will involve off-highway travel and some hiking – to be led by Creation Research Society and AzOSA geologists. All skill levels welcome. The first trip will be to the Santa Rita and Sierrita mountains south of Tucson.  Please contact Larry Kisner at 480-332-7152, or < biblicalphysics@gmail.com > to sign-up for the trip(s).

BACK TO SCHOOL SALE!  SALE – SALE – SALE!!!!  During September there will be a sale on all AIG and CMI DVD’s – 40% OFF!  Use your cash, credit card or checks to load up on this special deal.  If you are in for adventure with a T-Shirt we will be selling them at a discount also.

BOOKMASTER STILL NEEDED FOR EAST VALLEY:  We still need a new Book Master for the East Valley – Jordan Renouard, the West Valley Book Master, has been handling both sides, and would appreciate someone stepping forward. Generally this person would keep track of the books, DVD’s, etc. in the East Valley inventory and when possible help sell them at the presentations.  This is not a difficult job, mainly keeping track of the items to sell and ordering more when stock is low.  For details you can communicate with Jordan (505-463-1378) or Vern Hartz (520-626-3357 or 520-721-8278).

BOOKMASTER NEEDED FOR COCHISE DIVISION:  Otto Richter has requested a volunteer for a bookmaster and to help with the Cochise Division events.  Volunteers to help with the events, even if you are not able to be a bookmaster, would also be welcomed!  Call Otto at 520-236-5081.
