DESCRIPTION:The History of Basement Rock: Creation\, Pre-Flood\, During the Flood\, and Post Flood. There is no denying that there is at least one miracle involved with basement rock\, possibly two. Together\, those miracles took a few seconds or minutes to trigger the events that followed. Those following events followed the laws of physics. We will look at known physics and geological processes to see how basement rock affirms the historical accuracy of the Bible\, particularly Noah’s Flood. \nSPEAKER: Guy Forsythe of Crying Rocks Ministry \nBIO: Guy Forsythe was a high school technology teacher in Ohio from 1973 to 2003. Upon retirement from teaching\, Guy and his wife\, Cindy\, asked God how they could be used of Him. God told them to move to Sedona\, AZ. In August of 2004\, Guy and Cindy started a creation science newsletter\, Creation News Update. Every three months they mail newsletters to the 11\,000 homes in Sedona. Guy also does speaking engagements on creation science. In 2010\, Guy discovered geological features in the Coconino Formation in Sedona\, resulting in Guy becoming part of a research team that has published several papers on the Coconino Formation.

DESCRIPTION:The Second Dirty Little Secret of Evolution:\nEvolutionary Theory does not explain the Incredible Fine-Tuning of the Universe\n(aka The Goldilocks Enigma) \nEven if you accept the Big Bang theory of the origin of the universe\, you find that evolution has no explanation for the numerous arbitrary fundamental constants that define the physics and chemistry that make galaxies\, planets\, and life possible.  These fundamental constants\, which define the mass and charge of basic particles (such as protons and electrons)\, gravitational and electromagnetic forces\, and much more\, do not show any evidence of having evolved\, but rather point to an intelligent “manufacturer” of our universe. The presentation will conclude with time for questions and answers. \nSPEAKER: Chris Williams\, PhD\, Biochemistry\, Ohio State University \nBIO: Dr. Williams spent ten years developing and implementing laboratory software for the analysis of mass spectrometry data to detect genetic diseases in newborn children. His software has been used in numerous state and national newborn screening laboratories around the world to help screen millions of babies for these diseases. He is currently a full-time laboratory software consultant working in the area of cancer-related testing and treatment recommendations. \nDr. Williams has also invented a unique method for making safer\, measurably less radioactive foods for mothers and children. These new types of food could prevent billions of genetic damage events that would normally occur over a person's lifetime\, particularly in critical brain and heart cells. Preventing this genetic damage could lead to reduced risks of cancer and birth defects\, and may even slow the aging process.
