Can biomolecules (such as protein and polysaccharides) actually survive 70+ million years inside a fossilized and buried bone?  What natural process would enable this preservation?  The answer to these questions directly challenges the current\, evolutionary biased\, geologic time scale. In turn\, this tissue also challenges accepted ideas of evolutionary change.
