These ideas are also supported by modern genetic data. The general lack of human Y chromosome diversity\, the distribution of genetic variants\, current world population size\, and the fact that only one Y chromosome lineage exists all point to the biblical account. Patriarchal Drive can explain variations in branch length and post-Babel migrations can explain the patterns of relatedness we see in Y chromosomes worldwide. There is no reason to jettison a belief in the biblical Adam from the available genetic data. \n  \nBio: Dr. Carter obtained a BS in Applied Biology from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
