What’s New with the Volcano, Recent Activity at Kilauea Volcano Hawaii

September 22, 2025 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Summary:

Since December 23, 2024, Kilauea Volcano has been in an eruptive cycle that has consisted of multiple eruptive episodes. Through June 11, 2025, 25 eruptive episodes have occurred, each episode characterized by lava fountains reaching heights not seen since 1984. Each episode lasts from a few hours to up to 8 days and are separated by a few hours to up 11 days. Jim witnessed Episode 10 on February 20, 2025 viewing lava fountains up to 600 feet high and active lava flows. Jim will share photos he took of Episode 10 and will discuss what has been learned from this eruption. This presentation will demonstrate the following:

Volcanoes were a component to the Flood and volcanoes today are a direct result of the Flood. Kilauea continues to be one of the world’s most active volcanoes, and lives up to its designation as America’s drive-in volcano. Volcanoes create landforms rapidly and catastrophically instead of slowly per secular old age models.

Presenter: Jim Clarke
