A’smouldering in the Grave: What Decaying Dinosaur Bones tell us about the age of the earth

March 26 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Summary:

66 million years ago an asteroid impacted planet earth dramatically ending the Age of Dinosaurs…or that’s how the story goes. 66 million years is a long time to lie “a’smoldering in the grave”, so it came as a surprise when scientists found soft tissue and intact proteins in dinosaur fossils. In this presentation, you will learn about the cutting-edge research being performed by the Creation Research Society and others, which lead to the inescapable conclusion…that bone ain’t 66 million years old.

Presenter: Joel Brown

Growing up, I experienced two very different worlds. As a pastor’s child, I was exposed to a Biblical understanding of the world and chose to serve and follow Christ from a young age. However, my love for science took me into secular academia where I spent 10 years rubbing shoulders with a different perspective of the world. As a Christian, the conflict between these two worldviews continues to fascinate me. I now live in St. Louis, MO, with my wife and 7 children where I teach high school science in the public school and manage an outdoor education facility known as Little Creek Nature Area. I’ve spoken 60+ times on the topics of creation, evolution, science and the Bible in order to challenge believers to think and thinkers to believe.
