Global Warming Expert Clears the Air for AzOSA:

Does Our Earth Face Heat, Frost, Fear, or Just Politics as Usual? Monday, March 21 at 7 p.m.

It’s time to get the straight truth. Global warming has been described as either the world’s most diabolical hoax or the worst calamity to face human civilization. Momentous political and economic policy decisions turn on whether this concern is real. So what is the truth about global warming? Mark Sinclair, Ph. D., Professor of Meteorology at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, presents the hard facts about climate change, potential future scenarios, and how creation science views the issues. There is truly no hotter public policy issue on the planet.

Date & location: One night only — Palmcroft Baptist Church – Phoenix. Click HERE then scroll down for more details.

Direct Evidence of Creation in Our Natural World –
Mark Armitage CaptivatesYoung and Old

March 22-24, Phoenix and Tucson

Popular speaker and scientist Mark Armitage returns to regale Arizona audiences with his fascinating presentations about our wonderfully made natural world. What’s particularly fabulous about them? They support a Biblical worldview!

► What Do These Stones Mean? – March 22 – Tempe

Drawing from the story of David and Goliath, the “five smooth stones” gained from this presentation are five strong and easy to explain evidences for creation. From Mr. Armitage, you and your family can obtain nugget facts for these five points:

(1) diamonds and carbon-14; (2) diamonds and radiohalos; (3) zircons and helium; (4) zircons and radiohalos; and (5) confidence in Biblical truth.

► God Saw That the Light Was Good – March 23 – Cave Creek

Look closer, closer, closer, and get an expert’s microscopic view of fireflies, insect eyes, and much more. Bugs that glow bright, bugs that see a thousand images – examining these amazing creatures reveals irreducible complexity that goes light years beyond the famous “mouse trap” example. Uplifting fun for everyone. (Don’t be squeamish – Mr. Armitage shows much more than bugs only!)

► God Saw That the Light Was Good – March 24 – Tucson

Look deeply – microscopically – at the firefly and other fascinating life forms. What do you see? Evidence of intelligent design by our Creator that nobody can really dispute. This talk will leave you wondering why anybody ever thought evolution made sense.

Dates & locations: At three different locations, starting a 7 p.m. Click HERE then scroll down for more details.

Beyond e-Harmony: How to Date Fossils,
Rocks, and Even the Grand Canyon!

Springtime always spurs a surge in dating, and Dr. Joseph Kezele serves the need in three ways this month. As AzOSA president and a tireless researcher, Dr. Kezele speaks from understanding, not just sound bites. Attend one or more of these:

► Grand Canyon: The Whole Truth – March 2 – Cave Creek

The truth about the Grand Canyon and what it says about both scientific models and worldviews – the evidence is right here in Arizona. Know and use these facts to deliver solid evidence of the Biblical Flood and a young Earth.

► Do You Have a Date with C-14? – March 9 – Cave Creek

Unwrapping the mysteries of the most overused and misunderstood method for determining the ages of fossils, rocks and earth formations. You can’t really stand up against the doubters until you understand the myths and truths about Carbon-14 dating methods.

► The Age of the Earth – March 16 – Cave Creek

Did the public schools teach you – or your kids – how old the Earth is? Does that information contradict the Bible’s account? Get the key scientific facts, historical knowledge, and timeless Scripture you need to decide who is right.

► The Age of the Universe – March 30 – Cave Creek

Now we’re talking old – or are we? Using both evolutionary and Biblical points of view, take in the concepts of distance and time, and then consider how the universe would have expanded. When did energy and matter begin to exist? Did a Big Bang start the universe – or will one end it?

Dates & location: All take place at Black Mountain Baptist Church in Cave Creek at 6:30 PM. Click HERE, then scroll down for details.

Encourage Youngsters With Your
Testimony About Science and Faith

If you can spare an hour to speak to students about science and faith, then you might just change a life. The QUEST Science Club class meets Thursdays in Tucson and hears guest speakers at 2:30 p.m. No elaborate presentation is needed — just speak from the heart and mind to the extent you feel comfortable. Your topic should generally fall under the categories of how science is useful in the work place, or how Christian faith and worldview influence what you do at work. Please contact Becky Thai, educational coordinator for QUEST Science Club, at (520) 661-4546. Your knowledge and testimony will reach an eager audience!
