► March 7 – 6:30 PM – Cave Creek: From Darwin to Dictatorship.This hard hitting presentation opens with the “Laying of the Foundation” for evolution that Ernst Häckel laid down in Germany and in Europe as a whole. Dr. Kezele, biology professor and AzOSA president, shows how that foundation was used to promote racism and to provide a launching pad for Nazism. Turning to “Revolution of Foundation,” the spotlight is on Soviet Russia and the terrible events that occurred there in an avowedly evolutionary based political system. The presentation’s last sections are “Evolution of Foundation” in America and “The Consequences.” They show why we now have to deal with racism, abortion, euthanasia, embryonic stem cell research, and rationing of health care. Dr. Kezele presents the Scriptural information about: (1) the meaning of the word “day” in Genesis Chapter 1; (2) what Scripture itself says about the historicity of Genesis Chapter 1; (3) why the global Genesis Flood looms large in any analysis of the Earth’s age; and (4) the serious consequences of compromising Scripture in order to accommodate the “old Earth” viewpoint. AzOSA received this wonderful report from the Creation Science Fellowship of New Mexico in February:
“Joseph Kezele, MD of Arizona Origins Science Association (AzOSA) spoke last night at Faith Bible Church on ‘Darwinism to Dictatorship.’ He graciously gave us his PowerPoint presentation to install on our web site (www.creationsciencenm.org), which will be available after this coming Sunday. We learned a lot and his talk was most appreciated and very informative on what has been going on in the world since Darwin published his thesis. He has traveled to Europe and Russia, including the Ukraine, and he showed us the connections between Evolutionary Theory and what has transpired in Nazi Germany, Russia and what is now happening in the United States since World War II, and actually over the last 100 years (more or less). He showed us the parallelisms between these nations and it is a long overdue wake-up call for the USA. Dr. Kezele backed up his presentation with a number of quotes from Evolution-minded leaders and dictators, especially Hitler, Lenin, Stalin and influential people in the US. He also include some quotes from Russia’s Pravda (‘truth’) News Media. He emphasized that we should continue to speak the truth in love, yet boldly in spite of possible consequences of our actions. He made the point that very few people spoke up in Germany after 1932 and even less during the Russian Revolution. People were afraid to speak up, because those who did were persecuted, and many were simply shot to death. The Christian voice in America is small and dim, and there is a lot of opposition from high up, but we should still speak up for the sake of souls being lost in various ways every day. Your loyal newsletter editor enjoyed a fascinating extended conversation recently with Arizona college students in science/technology majors who, although raised in a great church, now were rethinking the big question: “How do we know there is a God?” Especially because the students were all math and science oriented, I presented the basic case for an origin of time in the Universe and the evidence of design in biological life that leads to evidence of an Intelligent Cause.
The discussion was going well, as the students were faced with intelligent design analysis using basic concepts of probability and complexity in lifeforms, and they saw the conclusion coming: there must be a designer, a creator of life. At precisely that moment, one of the students challenged me: “I don’t necessarily believe that,” he said. When I asked why, he responded without hesitating: “Evolution explains life on Earth.”
Up close and personally I experienced the devastating effect of the Darwinian worldview and its century of solid propaganda victories in the schools. The whole evening’s discussion was poised to collapse based on one thing: could I quickly and successfully show the neo-Darwinian theory was fatally flawed and incapable of explaining both the origins of life and the mechanism for creating all of the diverse lifeforms on Earth?
When Christians start questioning God, it is not enough to tell them “just have faith,” because they already have heard that suggestion and are moving toward rejecting it. Sometimes Christians question their faith because of injustice or terrible things that happen to people, so they ask: “how could God let so many bad things occur?” But other times, Christians question their faith because their secular peers say “science” has shown no need for a God to create anything or do anything.
Thankfully, I was prepared with two or three quick and powerful arguments that stumped the college students. They couldn’t refute my points and conceded that Darwinism actually didn’t have the answers to some fundamental challenges. Therefore, the existence of God remained a factual possibility in their minds. The “scientific” attack on Special Creation was shown to be nowhere near foolproof.
By attending even one AzOSA presentation each month, you can gain the knowledge neeeded to help the people in your life who, whether Jewish or Christian, are starting to doubt the God of the Bible. When the questions are about whether God exists, whether God created the Earth, and whether one worldview is superior to another, the information you gain from AzOSA talks and materials can empower you to convey an understanding that could change lives.
