Jay Seegert, an international speaker and author is the Founder and Keynote Speaker for The Starting Point Project. He holds degrees in both Physics and Engineering Technology (Univ. of Wisconsin-Whitewater & John Brown University, respectively). He serves on the Board of Directors for Logos Research Associates. He is a speaker for the Creation Science Association of Fiji. Jay is a former adjunct speaker for Creations Ministry International; and is the former president of the Creation Science Society of Milwaukee.
Jay has been speaking on Creation/Evolution and the Authority of Scripture, as well as many other apologetic topics, for over 34 years
The primary focus of The Starting Point Project is to help strengthen the Christian’s faith, so they are more confident in what they believe and consequently better positioned to mentor their own children and share the Gospel message with family, friends, relatives, co-workers or anyone else who lacks a true saving relationship with Christ.
Secondarily, the SPP also offer a very gracious challenge to the skeptic who sincerely struggles knowing and understanding the truths as taught in God’s Word.
The SPP offers free presentations to churches, conferences, schools and universities, etc. covering the following topics, among others:

This fascinating presentation gives you the “big picture” of Old Testament history, fitting all the major pieces together in one continuous story, one timeline… from Creation to Christ… setting the stage for the New Testament and the Gospel message.
Most Christians know a fair amount about Jesus, but aren’t too familiar with the Old Testament. It is often perceived as a collection of disconnected, difficult to understand stories that have little relevance to our lives today or even the Gospel message.
However, far from just being a good source for finding occasionally entertaining children’s stories (e.g. Jonah and the “Whale”), it actually represents real history and is foundational to the Christian faith.
Were Moses and Abraham next door neighbors? Was there really an ice age?
Was there really a global flood?
Where do dinosaurs fit into the Bible? How did the Jews become slaves in Egypt?
What about all the violence in the Old Testament?

Christians are often fairly united when it comes to the creation vs. evolution controversy. However, when it comes to the age of the Earth and “creation in six days”, there are differing views and often emotionally-charged debates, primarily because of how misunderstood this topic is.
This presentation clearly demonstrates that even though the age of the Earth is certainly not the most important concept in the Bible, it is a significant issue and can also be discussed in a very gracious, God-honoring manner, allowing the Holy Spirit to be the ultimate arbiter of Truth, as opposed to being forced to rely on “experts” (including the presenter) to tell us what we’re supposed to believe.

Certain aspects of evolution occasionally seem fairly plausible to many people… even Christians. If we use our imagination, we can envision fish slowly turning into amphibians, with their fins gradually being transformed into legs and their lungs adapting to breathing air.
However, when we take a closer look at what actually has to go on inside (in the DNA) we see a very different picture. It’s like looking under the hood of a beautiful red sports car only to find that its engine is completely missing! Presenting some cutting‐edge information about DNA, this presentation clearly demonstrates (in laymen’s terms) that molecules‐to‐man evolution is virtually impossible.
