Frank Sherwin, A former college instructor, is now a speaker and Senior Science Writer for the Institute for Creation Research. He is co-author of the book, The Human Body: An Intelligent Design and author of The Ocean Book. Mr. Sherwin will be presenting “The Mighty, Wonderful Oceans”, “Bats of Arizona: The Created Creatures of the Dark” and “Scientific Evidence for Creation”. Sharon Gannon, a Tucson resident, has decided to step up as AzOSA Treasurer. She has a wealth of experience as an accountant and has volunteered to service us and the Lord in the capacity of AzOSA Treasurer. This is definitely an answer to prayer. Jonathan Sarfati of Creation Ministries International has committed to coming to Arizona under AzOSA’s sponsorship. This is a large commitment on our part. We need your help to find a large church that will schedule him to speak Sunday morning April 17. He will be speaking for AzOSA itself on Tuesday the 12th at First Baptist Church of Tempe and Thursday the 14th in Tucson. Also on the schedule at Scottsdale Bible Church on Wednesday the 13th, and at Palmcroft Baptist Church Sunday evening the 17th. We will need everyone to step up and publicize these events, for this is a great opportunity to invite friends who still believe in evolution and need to hear the truth.
The AzOSA Board Meeting that took place in November was very productive. Sharon Gannon was appointed to be the new AzOSA Treasurer. Work to develop the web site as a tracking device for sales and inventory control will significantly lessen the time put in by the Treasurer and Book Master. Nancy Porsche is doing a great job as Media Coordinator. A reimbursement policy for expenditures has been adopted. Vern Hartz, Pima Division Assistant Book Master has volunteered to also serve as V.P. of Sales. Monthly Meeting reminders will be sent out to Members and interested persons. Honorary membership for Tom Canfield was granted by the Board for his service in preparing and editing the DVDs AzOSA is producing. Dr. Mark Sinclair, Ph.D. in Meteorology, Professor at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott has joined AzOSA and the team of speakers. He has a marvelous presentation on Global Warming.
Dr. W. Perry Baker, Academic Dean at Southwestern College in Phoenix is looking for an adjunct faculty member to teach CSC220 Computer Information Systems this Spring. Please contact him at william.baker@swcaz.edu. Southwestern is a fully accredited Christian College that is expanding its offerings.
The Mission trip to Eastern Europe was successful way beyond expectations. The Lord opened many doors, and through the work of the local Christians and an American husband and wife team in Latvia, many people heard the Creation Evangelism messages and had their faith in Scripture strengthened. I was allowed to present messages in three universities, two medical schools, a prison for boys, several high schools, public and Christian, in a poly technical Institute and dozens of churches. Some 2,800 people heard the various presentations. It is interesting to note that the presentation most requested by Pastors was Six Days or Millions of Years. Compromise with the gap theory has been so widely taught in Russia and the countries that were part of the Russian Empire since 1882. Also in the churches many
people asked about dinosaurs, carbon-14, the age of the earth and the universe. These same topics were also most frequently asked about in the secular settings. In Latvia the radio interview, nearly an hour in length, had already been broadcast at least four times. Usually a program is only broadcast twice. I have been asked to return to Latvia and the Ukraine and Russia next year. Many thanks for your prayers and support. Joseph Kezele.

The Annual Members and Board Joint meeting is scheduled for February 26. Please reserve that date to come and participate. All interested people are invited. Maricopa Division will meet at Black Mountain Baptist Church, 33955 North Cave Creek Road in Cave Creek.

AzOSA is in need of a volunteer to serve as the Assistant Book Master for the West side monthly meetings and possibly an occasional additional event, such as the statewide home schooling convention. Your services would be needed once a month to bring the books and DVDs to the meeting, handle the sales, deposit the proceeds and report sales to Vern Hartz, V. P. of Sales.
