Youth and Youth Leader Creation Conference November 13-14

Mike Riddle of Answers in Genesis will be presenting the inaugural “Defending the Faith” Conference for youth and youth leaders on November 13 and 14 at Calvary Community Church.  This is the first of its kind and, if successful, will be the prototype for more in other states.  Our goal is to sign up 300 participants.  Please click HERE for details about the conference for distribution and to give to your church leadership.  This type of training for our youth is sorely needed, and will prepare them to withstand secular attacks on their faith and even train them to be able to share God’s truth with those who do not yet know Him.

Christian Teacher/Leader Seminar November 21

Mike Riddle of Answers in Genesis will be presenting the fourth AzOSA Christian Teacher/Leader Training Seminar on November 21 at Scottsdale Bible Church.  This was a big hit last year and we expect 150 participants this year.  Please click HERE for details about the conference to distribute and give to your church leadership.  If you are a parent, Sunday school teacher or teacher in a school, you should sign up for this.

AzOSA Lasting Impact in Mexico

Last year Joseph Kezele, AzOSA President, along with youth and adults from Black Mountain Baptist Church in Cave Creek, participated in a mission trip to Escuinapa, Sinaloa at Bethel Baptist Church.  There he gave in Spanish the PowerPoint presentations: Are Dinosaurs More Recent Than You Think?, Fossils and the Flood, Where Did the Thousands of Languages Come From, and Why Won’t They Listen?  Answer in Genesis donated Spanish language books and DVDs for the church library.  Last week the following note was received from Melquiades Llanes, Pastor of Bethel Baptist Church:

“I give thanks to God for the great blessing and privilege that it was for our church to hear that teaching about the book of Genesis and everything relating to defending our faith and doctrine from the first book that is Genesis which is without a doubt fundamental for the comprehension of all scripture.  And even more it shows us why our Lord Jesus Christ came to this world in order to save that which had been lost.  The material and articles that I have read from Answers in Genesis in Spanish for me have been a great blessing and help.  My dear brother I say to you, GOD has called me to be a part of this ministry, and he has dealt with me in many ways and has given to me to know his intentions for my life.  I give thanks to God for this privilege of carrying his message of salvation from the first verse of the Bible that is Genesis 1:1.  Certainly I know that it will not be easy but I trust and have faith that my Lord will be with me at all times.  I give thanks for your teaching.  I hope that our Lord continues using you greatly for the honor and glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.  Amen.”

Media Coordinator Needed

Irene Harkleroad, AzOSA Media Coordinator, has stepped down due to success in her writing efforts.  AzOSA is looking for a person who would like to feed our information to the print and broadcast media.  Irene has prepared a manual with all the contact information and formats required to do the job.  AzOSA needs a person who has computer skills and the time to relay our information to the media outlets.  Please email jmkezele@AzOSA.org to learn more.  This is a very significant need to be filled as soon as possible.

Scientific American Quietly Disowns Ida “missing link” Fossil
