Maricopa County Events

► September 16 – 7 PM – Phoenix:  Geological Processes of the Past – What the Fossils and Strata Tell Us. This is the main event in two arenas: the ultimate battle of secular naturalism vs. creation science, and the ongoing skirmish between “old Earth” and “young Earth” creationists. Must everyone accept the age of the Earth as 3+ billion years – or – is there a strong basis for believing in a much younger Earth?  Guy Forsythe of Crying Rocks Ministry, Sedona, Arizona, has invested a life’s work into assembling the coherent case for a created Earth and a young Earth. At his presentation he concisely examines: (1) the competing timelines; (2) the kinds of data and evidence used by both sides; (3) the reasons to believe in catastrophic geological events in early Earth history; and (4) the ways fossils form and what fossils contribute to age estimates. Come with questions and doubts, hear and weigh the evidence, ask the hard questions. Whether you’re a Christian or not, you’ll grasp the crucial issues and understand why this scientific worldview battle still rages – and why it matters.

► September 17 – 7:00 PM – Tempe:  Geological Processes of the Past: What the Fossils and Strata Tell Us.  This presentation tackles the fundamental issue underlying all debates about the mechanisms of Earth’s origin and the age of the Earth. Please see the description above (Sept. 16) – and if you missed that date, be sure to attend Guy Forsythe’s repeat performance at the centrally convenient Tempe location.

► September 18 – 7:00 PM – Arizona Christian University (Phoenix):  Geological Processes of the Past: What the Fossils and Strata Tell Us.  This presentation tackles the fundamental issue underlying all debates about the mechanisms of Earth’s origin and the age of the Earth. Please see the description above (Sept. 16) – and if you missed the earlier dates, come and witness Guy Forsythe’s repeat performance at ACU. Guaranteed to stimulate conversation among students … and of course the public is very much invited!

Pima County Events

► September 19 – 7:00 PM – Tucson: Geological Processes of the Past: What the Fossils and Strata Tell Us.  This presentation tackles the fundamental scientific issue underlying all debates about the mechanisms of Earth’s origin and the age of the Earth. Please see the description above (Sept. 16) – and plan to attend Guy Forsythe’s repeat performance in Tucson.  Enlightening for many, life changing for others – don’t miss this one!

► September 22 – 10:30 AM – Tucson: Design, Deluge & Dilemma.  World renowned science author, Dr. Jonathan Sarfati, specializes in distilling the wealth of origin science knowledge so that non-scientists can understand it, trust it, and use it to teach others. This presentation covers factual and logical issues concerning the evidence for design in biology, the origins of biological information and the effects of mutations, and also the evidence for a global flood. Young Christians need not leave the faith because, as Dr. Sarfati shows, scientific thought processes support the Christian worldview.

Cochise County Events

► September 8 – 5:00 PM – Sierra Vista: Design and the Origin of Life.  This session looks at the design and purpose appearing throughout the earth and the universe, including the overwhelming complexity of life and the impossibility of life by accident. Consider the many examples of animal design in nature that defy evolutionary explanation. The universal evidence of design points to a powerful and wise God who loves beauty and orderliness. Norm Crawford, an aerospace engineer and veteran speaker, relates the science to relevant Bible teachings too.

► September 15 – 5:00 PM – Sierra Vista: Stars, Light and Energy.  Norm Crawford, an aeronautical engineer, delves into astronomical evolution and the claims that a universe filled with order, and constrained by natural laws, could arise by chance (which would defy the known natural laws). Easy to understand discussion covers the origin of the universe, the problems with the Big Bang Theory and the scientific laws concerning order and chaos. As a bonus, Norm shares Biblical considerations of light and energy to reveal Bible-science agreements.

► September 29 – 5:00 PM – Flood, Fossils and Earth History. Is “creationism” just whimsical thinking and silly tradition? No, says Norm Crawford, and he delivers: (1) the overwhelming support of the creation account from the fossil record; (2) the relationship between geological observations and the Genesis Flood; and (3) the feasibility/sufficiency of Noah’s Ark. Additional facts addressing the Tower of Babel, the Ice Age and the evidence for highly intelligent early man round out this incisive presentation. Judeo-Christian reliance on the Bible is fully rational – come see why!

Gila County Events (Payson Location)

► September 24 – 7:00 PM – Payson Public Library: Fossils and Noah’s Flood. Okay, was there really a global flood as the Bible says? Or is Noah’s flood either a myth or a moral metaphor?  Dr. Joseph Kezele, Assistant Professor of Biology at ACU, presents the scientific evidence for a worldwide flood. Pure and simple – no smoke, no mirrors, just facts and figures, and the parallels that appear with Biblical information. Get this essential understanding in one convenient time and place, and erase any nagging doubts.

Southern California Events – Tell Everyone!

► September 7 – 7:30 – Santa Ana, CA: Bacterial Antibiotic Resistance. Evolution Before Our Eyes? Don’t You Believe It! Joseph Kezele, MD, provides a close look at what actually happens when bacteria acquire bacterial resistance. You’ll be surprised to find what the popular culture tells you about this is quite wrong. Bonus: The Lenski experiment has been trying to demonstrate bacterial evolution in a population that has reproduced over 50,000 generations since 1988: has it worked? Get the cutting edge info!

► September 24 – 5:00 – Garden Grove, CA: Critters! – Fascinating Fauna that Fracture the Fable of Evolution. Interesting oddities about various animals show why they could only have been designed (created), thus demonstrating the impossibility of their arising through evolution. When we share these facts with people, they can realize there is a Creator, and the Gospel becomes meaningful to them. Presented by Dr. Kezele, Assistant Professor of Biology at Arizona Christian University, this information adds another word to the title: Fun!

New: Grand Canyon Tour in November!

Join us on Saturday, November 9 and “Get on the Bus with Russ” for an eye-opening trip to the South Rim of Grand Canyon. This Creation-based journey is packed with learning, fun and fellowship as we travel with Russ Miller (Founder of Creation, Evolution & Science Ministries). The trip includes water and snacks on a luxury coach bus, complete with DVD screens, large viewing windows (with sunshades) and an on-board restroom. Among the trips highlights is a stop at Mather Point and a hike to Bright Angel. Along the way Russ will present several talks, point out the original creation-week rock, and reveal the judgment layers, taking us where we can put our hands on each of these!  A rest at an ice cream shop and some free time at Bright Angel Lodge complete our Grand Canyon tour. Pick up locations are in Phoenix, Camp Verde and Flagstaff, with DVDs shown during travel time. People love this bus trip!
